The Contour: Sculptural and Statuesque

One of the best way you can bring your best features forward is to contour your face. This involves shading your features with a brozer or powder a shade or two darker than your natural skin colour, to create depth and a more defined face. Here are some areas of your face you can contour.

1. Cheekbones
To create sculptural cheekbones, sweep a bronzer just under the apples of your cheeks. If you're not sure where to shade, suck your cheeks in like you've just eaten a lemon, and shade in the hollows you've created.

2. Temples
If you've got a large forehead or you want to appear sunkissed, a great idea is to add a little depth to your temples, which are located just on the side of your forehead.

3. Nose
Many women create a more defined nose shape by using a deep eyeshadow just on the sides of their nose. This creates the illusion of a 'longer, taller' nose with a defined bridge.

4. Eyes
If you've got deep set eyes, enhance them by shading in the crease of your eyes. Don't know where the crease is? Feel your eyes for the browbone. Just underneath the bone, you'll feel a soft bit where you can feel your eye socket. Contour in this area with a dark shadow to give your eyes dimension.
